What effect does a backlog in academics make on future job prospects?

i have got an drop due to some unfortunate reason in eng FE i am currently doing IT eng but i want to continue is it true that my value as an eng will decrease in future ,also what do company look during placement either the % of a student or his knowledge

Hi Sagar, Well the backlog may effect you, if you are not able to make for it by scoring good in future but as for the placements are concerned, its both the quantity and quality which is considered i.e. your marks in engineering and your knowledge acquired during the period of study. All one can s
