Hi. Concentrate on your 11th and 12th and start preparing for various engineering exams. Once you get your score you will have ample time to talk to senior students and other industry professionals to decide your specialisation branch.

Lakshya its good to know that u r vigilant about your career. But dude you are in 11th standard. I would suggest to give your full concentration in this standard because its base for science maths or arts or commerce students. Try to understand the basic concepts. When you will enter your twelfth you will be more clear about which branch should you opt its simply because you will be knowing different fields of science and engineering through your chapters.

Interest can create solid goals. The answer lies in the question. If you love programming then you can opt for CSE. If you love machines then go with mechanical. Interest and talent are important factors. Good luck!

For branch, choice matters. Don't just go by any other person's perception.
Explore your interest, nobody in world can tell you the best thing for you.
Decide yourself the things then ask how it can be done from others.

    Hello Akshay,
Feeling good to hear such a question from a 11th standard student, because while I was of your age, I didn't even care about it. I will share u a secret ( No more a secret from now on) that helped me choose a branch to my heart. + Watch fiction movies and tech documentaries. I was attracted to "aerospace" related stuffs, an so I am now in Mech ( a long story). As you know, u can't rank a branch, but you can compare courses offered by various institutes. That is what people mistake of as branch comparison. Enjoy 11th and 12th but set urself limits. All the best for JEE.

Look, every branch of engineering has its own specifications. We can't rank them. Find your interest in yourself and choose what you will do all at its best. And, before choosing, plan your future practically by picking up every branch and you will find your best suitable branch. Good Luck.
