It totally depends on what are your areas of interest. If you are interested in technology and gadgets, go for CSE or IT. If hardware is what inspires you, go for mechanical. If something in between these, then go for ECE. It totally depends on what interests you.

You have different choices of branches to choose from. It solely depends upon your interest which branch you choose. In the latest time choosing a branch like CSE or IT would be beneficial for you, provided if you are interested in computer Science and information technology field. There are also other branches like Mechanical, civil, Electrical, Petroleum, Plastic, Rubber, Food processing, Fashion designing, Architecture, Town planning. So select according to your interest. If you want to do engineering then go for IT or CSC branch because IT sector will develop day by day and this sector have many career opportunities. Many company is hiring for IT or CSC branch only. So go for it. I know mechanical branch is one of the oldest and best branch in engineering but nowadays there are few vacancies for this. So don't think too much just go for IT or CSC branch. You can easily get a job.
All the best. -
You have to prepare very well for the JEE Mains examination. If you want to get into IITs then you will have to go for JEE Advance. Most of the colleges select students on the basis of JEE Mains rank. Hence prepare well for it.
