    1) B.Tech is a professional technical course
    2) MCA is equated with B.Tech.cse
    3) to become software engr., u have to complete either B.Tech or MCA
    4) MCA takes 6yrs., but B.Tech 4yrs.

    It all depends on your interest. b.tech and BCA both the faculties have good scope.

    Hi Dheeraj,
    BCA and B.Tech CSE are different courses,even though both courses cover some common subjects. BCA is a professional graduate degree in applied Science. Computer application and Science comes under applied Science branch which is not pure Science. The duration is 3 Years and higher education opportunities are
    1. MCA-Lateral Entry also available to 2nd Year for B.Sc-IT/CS and BCA graduates.
    2. M.Sc- Computer Science
    3. M.Sc- Information Technology
    4. M.Sc- Electronic Media etc.
    Whereas B.Tech / BE-CSE is an engineering / technological professional degree of 4 Years duration. B.Tech is considered as equal to MCA and M.Sc-CS/IT. So
