Hi. The most relevant course for you as per your qualifications would be the Master in Engineering course. The metal a should be iron granules, blue colored solution cld be copper sulfate . The description of metal b is vague. But when fe reacts with copper sulfate solution, the resultant compound would be ferrous sulfate . thus the colour disappears. But the answer cld be more clear if you can re phrase your question

So as sodium loses electrons it is oxidized and chlorine. reduced .This is potentially very confusing if you try to learn both what oxidation and reduction mean in terms of electron transfer, and also learn definitions of oxidising and reducing agents in the same terms.
