No, studying a BBA course should not be a problem for you even if you are not from the commerce background. However, the BBA course is more widely known as a bachelor of commerce course in Canada. You would be applying for that.
I would also like to inform you that if you are interested in BBA, you should target universities in USA as majority of the top universities offering BBA are located in USA. Let me know if your interested in USA or Canada so that i can suggest you universities accordingly.
