You can surely get back in touch with the CS with the help of certification courses and there are many options for it. Also, It will be better if you can make us know your experience of 12 years is in which domain.
I would advise you to do single domain certification s but to the highest level rather than opting for multiple diverse certifications. This because you already have an Engineering degree in CS.
-- Sun Certified Java Developer and then the Web developer certification, later if possible try for Java Architect exam of Sun.
-- Microsoft Certified .NET professional and SQL Server certification.
-- Networking certific
