    Bachelor of computer applications or BCA is an undergraduate programme in computer applications. The duration of this programme is three years. These three years are divided into six-month semesters. Each student is required to work in an organization for four to six weeks during the last semester as part of their project work.     Generally, the BCA and MCA are more prominent to the IT recruiting agencies, than the B.Sc IT and M.Sc. IT. BCA is more productive and favorable for getting jobs in the corporate sector; while B.Sc. IT is more suitable for making careers in academia and disciplinary research.

    In terms of job aspects in IT domain, BCA has more demand than B.Sc. IT. Moreover, BCA is a professional degree whereas B.Sc. IT is an academic one.

    I am doing BSCIT so I can say they it is very good course. It gives us knowledge about computer. So I will say that B.Sc IT is better than BCA.

    According to me BCA is more suited for students who want to specialised in software development or programming, while B.Sc. IT is better for students who want to pursue a career in networking or system administration. My opinion is it's better to choose based on your interest.

    B.Sc. Computer Science is more concept-oriented while BCA is an application-oriented programme. While pursuing BCA you learn about current technologies and get a basic idea of in-demand programming languages also BCA is more productive and favorable for getting jobs in the corporate sector; while B.Sc. IT is more suitable for making careers in the academia and disciplinary research.
