Well, there was a time when BCA was more popular due to the academic design system where student preferred BCA-MCA routine. But BSCIT got trendy of late due to the reason it does have mathematics portion to it. Trust me BSCIT is better than BCA. Well take my case, for example, I did BSCIT well, graduated in 2007 though and worked in the IT sector for almost 10 years now. Maths skills is a must for an IT graduate and if you got maths skills as part of your graduation then you get an edge over the others and that's boon in IT world. Not only to secure a job, but to perform it in a better way, you certainly need skills. Also, after BSCIT,

B.Sc IT is a better and safer option for those who have not scored good marks in mathematics in boards. However, for doing MCA or M.Tech, I would recommend B.Sc IT.

BCA Stands for the Bachelor in Computer Application. BCA is 3 year graduation degree course generally for those students who wants to learn Computer languages and after that who wants to join Software. In Today time every course have its own importance. BCA have also there own uniqueness and exposure. Both are good. In fact, both of them are almost the same. It is just that BCA has more course specific subjects than B.Sc IT. But, I believe both have their significance and they have equal weight. Thank you.

BCA is good. Comparing both these courses, BCA is much reputed and contains certain principles of management which combine it with a management course.

In my opinion, BCA is job oriented and B.Sc is knowledge oriented. Also, B.Sc IT focuses on all aspects of Information Technology like Hardware, Software, Networking etc. BCA is more inclined towards programming and application.

Both courses have great opportunities. BCS IT is concept oriented, it will teach you the core concept of IT and you will have to study Science subjects too. On other hand BCA is application oriented, teach current technologies, platforms. One can join BCA from Science, commerce and arts background. But to pursue B.Sc. IT, you need to have a background of Science. B.Sc. IT is a general course and BCA is a technical course, so getting job from BCA is easy than B.Sc. IT. After B.Sc. IT, you can do M.Sc. IT or MCA both. But after BCA you can only do MCA. Best universities for doing BCA and B.Sc. IT are: Lovely Professional University- Punj

As far I know, I have seen bad condition of BCA graduates and comparatively good condition of M.Sc IT which is done after B.Sc IT, so I suggest you to go for B.Sc IT, and then M.Sc IT after that. Good luck.
