what is career scope after BA in Economics?

Hi, having a B.A Economics under your belt, you can explore the option of doing some specialized post graduate courses for which graduation is needed in the field of media, multimedia, public relations, foreign languages, teaching, social work, finance, retail management, design, hospitality, stocks, aviation, tourism etc based on your interests and strengths. However with a B.A. economics you could go for post graduation in the same field. An MBA in Economics, M.A. Economics or Masters in Applied Economics could be your choices. By obtaining an advanced degree in economics, you gain more flexibility as to where you can gain employment and you have the chance to obtain a higher salary in the field. A post graduation in Economics can offer many entry-level jobs in banking, finance, insurance, stock markets, sales and marketing as well as corporations like consulting firms or government departments. You can also begin your career with government enterprises, public undertakings, investment firms, business journals and newspapers. The Indian Economics Services and Reserve Bank of India are also excellent options open to those who want to join government services. If you have keen interest in higher studies and research you can opt for M.Phil. and Ph.D. and thereby aspire to take higher position in public and private sector. You can also take up teaching as a career in various colleges, universities and professional institutions. You may choose to enter non-profit institutions like NGOs. Economic consulting is another option available for you. However, the foremost growth potential for economists lies in the private sector and most notably in scientific research and consulting firms. there are many options after BA as you can become teacher, you can go in banks also . many jobs require a person who has done his graduation or pg in economics only.

HI,Though there is a bit of initial struggle in finding a good opportunity, but graduates in economy find success in a wide variety of careers. As economist they could find employment in both private as well as govt undertakings. With gud communication skills and analytical mind, one could find employment in consulting firms. Later they can also opt for an MBA program which would open the door of opportunities for them.On other hand ,very good question from commercial student. in commercial subject economics is the best one any graduation is only for earning is it not ? if one study only BA earnings by way of employee remuneration for this subject is very very low hence post graduation is the best answer for post graduation MBA is the best and bread winner.if you do postgraduate the use is large. you can go for marketing side and earn more money by giving good advise to your employer.My sincere suggestion is you can still do MCA and go for in IT industry where plenty of jobs are available .and also for joining mca any bachelor degree with mathematics is essential . if you had that you can go for mca or no mathematics your can straight way go for mba. there is great scope after BA in economics: but b sure that u must b well versed in the subject then you can write articles and short essays about the subject with reference to current issue. 2) you can become content writer or technical writer and design course for various students. 3) you can join different course like LLB, Taxation, MA, foreign languages, fashion designing, animation and may more 4) you can start teaching in private classes and complete BED or D Ed. 5) you can also start job in the marketing and complete MBA or similar courses all the best regards ganesh 9689517117

ther i s many options. after graduation in economics. if u r intersted in teaching field so do BEd. and if not so do also PG in eco. and prepare for IES or ISS its very highle and very respected exams. if u wnt to join banks so preapre for baking competin. RBi or NABARAD etc.
