I went through the same confusion when I was preparing for CUET.

From my experience, CUET previous year question paper and mock tests both played different roles, and neither alone was enough.

What PYQs actually helped me with

When I started solving CUET previous year question papers, I realized:

• The exam is more NCERT-based than I expected
• Questions are not repeated directly, but concepts feel similar
• It builds confidence because you understand “what CUET actually looks like”

So PYQs helped me build foundation understanding, not speed.

What changed when I started mock tests

When I shifted to mock tests (platforms like CUET MOCK), I noticed:

• I was running out of time in sections
• I was making silly mistakes under pressure
• I realized I knew concepts, but not exam speed

That's when I understood CUET is not just knowledge it's also time management

What worked best for me

Honestly, balance worked best:

• First phase → PYQs (understanding pattern + basics)
• Second phase → Mock tests (speed + accuracy)
• Final phase → Full mock revision + mistake analysis

About CUET MOCK (from experience)

I tried a few tests on CUET MOCK website just for practice.

What I felt:

• It gives a decent CUET-like exam feel
• Useful for checking timing and pressure handling
• Good as a practice supplement, not a primary source
