Hi Nisha, Any university in India which is UGC and AICTE approved is recognized by US universities. As far as the evaluation of your mark sheets or transcripts is concerned the admission committee does it or they have their own agency which do the required job. Hence do not worry about the evaluation of your mark sheets at all. The university people are very well aware of the fact that an Indian student is applying and the education system is altogether different from them.They convert your percentage marks into GPA scores and then evaluate the application accordingly. One thing here which is more important is that you will be required to submit a genuine reason for pursuing your Masters through Distance Learning Mode or Correspondence. The admission committe might question you on the same. In case you are a working professional or you are doing any internship or anything of this sort then the committee will appreciate the same and it will be an add on your profile. It also depends on your program you are planning to pursue .For instance, if you wish to pursue MBA from USA and currently you are working somewhere (related to your field)and simultaneously you are pursing MBA from Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), the university will encourage you to take admission.
