    No as per my knowledge it is not necessary, because a friend of mine did BCA with me and he didn't have Maths in 10+2.

    MCA is a 3-year programme and they are open to enrolling candidates from other streams like arts & commerce as well. Here the first year was more of a foundation course for nonmaths/ Science students. However, with the enrollment going down due to its 3-year programme going forward AICTE has decided to trim it down to a 2-year programme. Thus the requirement will certainly change going forward.
