A graduation degree is necessary to fulfill dreams of ascertaining a good career in gaming industry?

Whether a graduation degree of B.F.A./B.V.A. is necessary to pursue a good career in gaming industry or not? Is it strongly recommended to earn a B.F.A./B.V.A. degree to enter the field of gaming and become a successful game designer later on or any graduation degree would do?

Yes, there are only a few Indian games to count on, but the sector is growing, apparently, as far as I've studied in various surveys and reports.
I still want an answer that is B.F.A. degree necessary for pursuing a career in gaming or not? :(

That was helpful ma'am, but, as for today's needs and what a few experts, I know, say that without a B.F.A. degree, a gaming career would not be as successful, is it true, if yes, to which extent?
I want to pursue a career in pure gaming, but belonging to a backward village, I didn't get much of guidance on it, though a few people in this field are strongly recommending me to join B.F.A. and then pursue what-so-ever software courses, and that is making me even more puzzled.
Please, help me on this. :(

    Hi Ayush,
It is a very nice question what you have ask see this is what i tell to people that just a stamp og degree would not help you to come into the industry it is the knowledge about the software and the quality of you work , let me explain this to you with a simple example like if you go for an interview in any production house or mnc the first think they will ask for would be your demoreel and if they would like your work then they would take your Resume in which also the graduation would come on the second page as at the first page it would be all about your expertise software and your internship and projects etc.
    All the best
