Assume that the tank is of 100 litres capacity. Then tap A is filling it with a rate of 5 litres/min and Tap B is filling it with rate of 4 litre per minutes as they fill it in 20 and 25 minutes respectively. If both taps A and B are run simultaneosuly for 5 minutes then (5 x 5) + (4 x 5) = 45 litre
