I believe this product should bring revolution in uplifting Rural India's education and RTI.
However, the organization is struggling with its Supply Chain Management as mentioned by few. Nonetheless, there is a lot of scope for further enhancement of hardware components and to build quality.
Lets hope for the best. -
Well, my experience with the way they handle product online orders is bitter. I ordered 1 last November. There was no acknowledgement recd. Somehow, I got the customer care email id and inquired them about the same. However, there was no response. And above all, they keep sending promotional emails to rate them and place an order. Which is quite irritating.
Must be a value for money as per others, but the professional touch is lacking overall. -

So let us see how far Aakash Tablet serves best to the market. Will it perfectly live up to the idea with which it was built, i.e a computing device that is low in cost but rich in features. Hoping it to survive the trend by providing high-quality, personalized and interactive knowledge over the internet in any-time, anywhere mode.

I think, slowly private as well as public companies are getting masses friendly take for e.g. Tata Nano one of the cheapest car. It is surviving so will this Tablet.

Well Aakash Tablet is worth buying as it offers high end functions equivalent to any mobile phone, laptops at a price that is beyond imagination. Getting a touchscreen with mild computing usage options, a great gadget that can also serve as a phone since it has SIM & 3G facility. A big reason to purchase Aakash tablet is because it comes with more than 15,000 pre-installed apps and supports a large number of file formats. Also portable and carries inbuilt WI-FI options. Even though it doesn't have an inbuilt webcam but it supports it, you just need plug an external webcam in the USB port to start taking pictures and video recording.
