B.Tech in Biotechnology is a four year undergraduate engineering course which enables the candidates to acquire necessary skills and knowledge in different areas of biotechnology. Those who have completed this course can work in food, pharmaceutical, bio-informatics, bio-processing and allied industries. Several postgraduate and doctoral programs are also available after B.Tech in Biotechnology. They can also work as research scientists in various governmental research institutes like Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Rajiv Gandhi Centre for BioTechnology, National Institute of Oceanography etc. Academic positions are also available in our country.
