BIMTECH placements like between 5-7 LPA only. So, I think, you should try one more and try to get around 90 percentile. So, you can get decent colleges.

Congratulations on the score, you have a pretty good academic score, also 75% in CAT is not a cake walk. I would suggest you not to take an year drop and go for MBA/PGDM this year itself so that your CV does not get affected. With this percentile you can apply to various colleges such as XIME, IBS, Sri Balaji Society's BIMM, etc. I am the Campus Representative of BIMM and a current student, if you want to apply to BIMM, then i can help you with discount vouchers also i can give you better insights if interested.
On the other hand, if you feel that by taking a year drop and preparing for CAT, you can score well next time and get into th

You have scored extremely well in your academics. There are bright chances of you getting selected in BIMTECH. I would suggest you not to take drop as it will make you suffer later at the time of placement when some company puts clause that no drop students allowed, etc.
I would suggest you to fill form for other colleges as well and then finalise one.

Getting into the MBA programme of NIT Trichy with a 300 SC CAT rank is somewhat uncertain. As the recent data sets suggest, NIT Trichy's CAT cutoff for SC category admission stands around 65th percentile. A 300 SC rank could be borderline depending on how many SC candidates apply and the quality of the overall candidate pool.
In CAT marks terms, to reach around the 300 SC rank, you'd likely need a CAT percentile of 65–70, which roughly translates to a CAT score of about 60–65 out of 198, assuming the normalization and difficulty remain similar.
However, final admission also depends on other factors like your academic profile, w
