after B.A in ENGLISH , can we do Ph.D straight away and will I get job opportunity as a lecturer in colleges?

You cannot do Ph.D. without completing your post graduation. For becoming a teacher , you have to pass NET (National Eligibility Test) qualification. These days, even ad hoc appointment for teacher requires a NET qualification.

with BA ,you can not register for Ph.D and getting a Lecturer post is normally impossible.
