From salary perspectives, MBA is the best choice, but try getting the degree from top notch colleges like IIMs, XLRI, FMS, MDI, SPJain, NMIMS< JBIMS, IITs or Symbiosis.

Do M.Tech and start working after that you if you really need to do M.B.A then do it . M.B.A program for experienced people is easily available. Even there are many company who can fund your M.B.A program. You know there are lot of people who have started their company
or have moved high in career without having an M.B.A.

First of decide what you want to be A good manager or A good engineer,
MBA mostly focused on Management and administrative part so if you have passion to explore your career in these field MBA will be better choice, since you are from engineering background and if you wish to go for MBA,
In my view Engineering Management will be a good choice for you its not much popular in India few institutes provides it.
