after completing diploma in tool and die making whic is better to opt product design or AMIE?

I have compleated diploma in tool and die making frm NTTF with 80% mark and got one year industrial exposure .i just came to know about product design and AMIE from a friend which will be better for me, and suggest me colleges offering product design. and what is the basic qualification for that?
