It is a very nice to see that you have not got bogged down by doing engineering and doing something post engineering only in that field. One must choose the field that one likes most or gets fascinated with as our work area. If this happens then you will enjoy while working. Yes, what you're proposing is a good option and that you must proceed in that direction and get admitted there, so that you will go on a path which you are fascinating and which you are aiming.
