After completing my B.Tech. After 4 years, how do I get into the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune?

FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the GoI and aided by the Central GoI. It is situated on the premises of the erstwhile Prabhat Film Company in Pune. The film and Television Institute of India is a member of the CILECT (International Liaison Centre of Schools of Cinema and Television), an organisation of the world's leading schools of film and television. Eligibility Criteria: Students must have completed their graduation from a recognised university and are welcome to apply for FTII admissions. Appearing students can apply but they will have to show related certificates at the time of orientation. Admission Process of FTII: 1- The result is announced on the basis of the written examination and auditions. 2- The result is announced for the Students who cleared the written examination. These students then go through orientation and PI. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of first and second result lists each carrying 50 percent weightage subject to qualifying on a medical test. Application Process: Candidates can apply online through the official website of the FTII. 1- Log onto the official website of FTII 2- Click on the Apply Online link available on the page. 3- Click on the Application form option from the list. 4- Fill out the form with your details which include: 1- Student's Name. 2- Parent's details. 3- Address and Phone Number. 4- Academic Qualification. 5- Course Details. 6- Demand Draft Number. 7- Issuing Bank. Take a printout of the application form and attach these documents with it: 1- 2 passport-size photographs. 2- Demand Draft. 3- Declaration by parents/guardians and by candidates. 4- Photocopy of required certificates. Once you have attached the required certificates and documents, submit your application form to The Controller of Examination, Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Hello Shruti, it's very nice to SEE that you want to tread newer paths rather than routine one. There are literally hundeds of courses that you can do in FTII, India's premier institute in this field in Pune. The best would be you should identify your interest areas and then take up course accordingly. You will find all information in the brochure that you can download from their website.
