Government school teachers have their salaries determined by pay scales,  with M.Ed holders typically starting within the Level 8 pay band,  translating to a monthly salary of around INR 40,000 - 50,000. This can increase considerably with experience and promotions.

Private schools offer wider salary ranges,  with M.Ed teachers potentially earning anywhere from INR 25,000 to 1 Lacs (100,000) per month or even more,  depending on the school's reputation,  location,  and the teacher's experience and qualifications.
