    Yes, you can. The matter of recognition of AMIE as equivalent to BE/ B,Tech is pending in the supreme court hence it is valid as of now. Most of the top institutes like IITs NITs accept AMIE as equivalent to BE/ B.Tech and eligible for Indian Engineering Services and GATE (GATE is mandatory to get scholarships)
