after my graduation, is it better to go for a diploma in journalism or post graduation? What posts would i get in a journalism organisation?

With due respect to whosoever answers my question, I am actually interested in covering the news related to politics, means current political affairs. so, is there any particular course which i should opt in the vast field of journalism or the studies are common for all?
