7 years agoNo, work experience is not compulsory but it will increase your chances of getting IIM as IIM develops their own scale of marking on the basis of your curriculum percentage of 10th, 12th and graduation and that scale also include the work experience in it. The weightage of the percentage and work experience is different for different IIM. So if you score well in CAT you have good chances without work experience.
