8 years agoyes it has good scope dear but care should be taken, means choose college wisely. This is a specific engineering instead of mechanical engineering which has wide scope, so college should be of good reputation. -

Unlike other engineering programs you do not get a degree or diploma after completion of course. This is a certification course.
During the course one is trained to clear the licence exams conducted by DGCA (governing body for aviation) apart from the regular exams conducted by college.
Clearing of the Gov license exams are mandatory (pass Mark is 70%) to become an engineer.Completion of the course of 3 years does not satisfy the requirements to be an engineer & may need to work as an aircraft technician for a minimum of 2 additional years on any aircraft.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a very niche specialisation where graduates are employed by airlines and aircraft maintenance organisations. Also you have to obtain DGCA licence on a particular type of aircraft for job as Maintenance engineer. It is high paying job with limited jobs opprtunities in comparison to standard branches such as Mechanical / Electronics / Electical / CSE.
