Hard work is the main criterion.Study your subjects qualitatively without neglecting any aspect.Let there not be any short cuts.Devote maximum study and go through all the important newspapers.Take down notes also if you feel it necessary.Talk to knowledgeable people.Cultivate soft skills.Develop your oratory.Practice giving quick responses to academic queries. Most things come with practice.
