Am a btech mech engineering graduate. i would like to do masters in oil and gas. Is it good to do after some experience in relevant field?

Oil and gas industry is facing a serious downfall right now. I would advice you to do some research and read articles on future of oil and gas. Please see only the authentic articles forecasting the future of oil and gas. Right now, oil and gas does not have jobs.

I have not researched about the future of this industry in depth. That is why i am suggesting you to research. Refineries are also dependent upon crude oil.
