Am I eligible for B.Tech? I have got 48 marks in physics, 51 in chemistry and 54 in maths in 12th.

You should fill improvement form first. Improve your marks. It should be at least 70% for B.Tech. Then only you will get a good college. Only Then it will be beneficial for getting good job.

I am sorry to say, but yes, marks affect your engineering admissions.
In 2013, minimum marks required in PCM was 45% with a non-zero score in CET.
But, on the positive note, you can apply for improvement exam for the subjects. If you score well, it will be helpful for you, but if you fail to do so, your marks won't change.
It is risk worth taking.
