According to the JEE Mains eligibility criteria, it is mandatory to score at least 75% marks in the 12th to get admission in any IIT, NIT or IIIT through JEE Advanced. No, you are not eligible to appear for Advance examination unless you secure 75% or in top 20th percentile in your board examination. For reserved category it's 65%. So, you need to appear in the improvement examinations.
