Hello Gaurav, It will help if you have some background of IT in 12th, when doing engineering. But which branch you will get in the admission process entirely depends on how you score in CET conducted for admissions to engineering colleges. Better the score, better the chances.

Thank you Sir for answering, actually the IT subject that I am learning currently in my 11th science grade is all about networking and internet including languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript but as far as software engineering is concerned or as far as I know it includes languages that help in app
