Am I eligible for UGC NET? Is PGDM valid for UGC NET? I qualified PGDM in 2011 from IIMT Professional College, Meerut.

Hello Kamal, PGDM means Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Mainly, PGDM is a graduate Diploma degree i.e. Diploma degree after graduation. It is not equivalent to Master’s degree. So, you have to complete your Master’s degree, i.e. MBA, then you will be eligible for UGC NET exam. The eligibility criteria for UGC NET exam is 55% or above marks in Master’s degree from a recognized university. You have to get 55% and above marks in your MBA. Since, you have done PGDM, so you can take direct admission in 2nd year MBA through lateral entry. In this case, the MBA will be of 1 year for you.
