Hello, UGC NET exam is conducted for 84 different subjects including sociology. To be eligible for NET exam, you should complete Masters degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (5% relaxation available for other than general category). The criteria for eligibilities for NET are mentioned at the link provided below: https://www.shiksha.com/teaching-education/exams/ugc-net. You need 55 % marks in the post-graduation to appear in the National Eligibility test, whereas the candidates from the reserved category needs 50 % marks.
