Dear Priyanka, Yes you are eligible for lateral entry at LPU in your preferred programme, provided you have 60% plus marks. LPU makes perfect sense for lateral entry as it ensures the following programme outcomes:
1 : Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools.
2 : Ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology.
3 : Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using basic understanding of Thermodynamics, Heat transfer and Fluid M...more -
Being LPU alumni, I would share the eligibility of the course. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU makes perfect sense for lateral entry as it ensures the following programme outcomes:

For B.Tech in mechanical engineering, the eligibility requirement is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or In case student scored more than or equal to 90% in 10+2, or 90 percentile in JEE Mains, then LPU NEST will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. And for a lateral entry programme the requirement is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) (3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non Medical) or B.Sc.
