Hi,
Yes, you are eligible and it is indeed a good choice. More than food technology, try for food biotechnology in PG.
Food biotechnology will channelise your interest for research.
There are many central universities offering such courses, Tezpur University is one of them.

A Bachelors degree in Food Science/Life Sciences is mandatory for M.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition.
