Am I eligible to study MBA in biotechnology? I'm studying B.Sc in aviation now. If yes, is it a good decision?

The main eligibility for pursuing this course is that the student should have done graduation in the field of Science, Medicine or Engineering. Candidates must have received more than 55% to 60% in their graduation from a recognised university. Scores of MBA Entrances conducted at national, state, university level can be a requirement as well. A person with some work experience (at least 24 months) with research in this field is always preferred over others. Yes offcourse it is good desicion. MBA Biotechnology provides various opportunities for the students. One can go for higher education after the completion of the course and also start your career as a working professional. Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Biotechnology) is a 2 year post-graduation course in Biotechnology where fundamental and advanced principles of both business and biotechnology converge to provide a greater understanding of the economics driving this emerging technology. Biotechnology is a science of making products using biological processes, organisms or systems for the betterment of mankind. A person who is a graduate in the field of medicine or engineering is eligible for this course. Average fee for this course is approximately 5 to 17 lacs INR which may vary in different colleges. The average entry salary of a person holding this degree is between 3 to 14 lacs INR. Though people going into this stream are very low, on the contrary it act as an advantage as there is a huge requirement of people in biotechnology. Some of the high paying jobs in the industry are Biotechnology Researcher, Analyst, Product Manager and R&D Executive. Eligibility Of the Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Biotechnology) A person who is a graduate in the field of medicine or engineering is eligible for this course. How to Get Admission in Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Biotechnology) In order to get admission in MBA Biotechnology, students need to clear the entrance exam which is followed by a group discussion round and personal interview round. Many institutes like IIM, Faculty of Management Sciences accept CAT score. CAT: Common Admission Test (CAT) is an entrance exam conducted for admission to MBA programs. The skills tested in this exam are quantitative ability, reasoning, reading comprehension and verbal and non-verbal communication, solving skills and data interpretation. This exam is carried out the month of November. Universities like Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune conduct their own entrance test known to be SNAP, which is a paper driven test. Apart from CAT, other exams through which students can get admitted to MBA colleges are CMAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT and NMAT. After clearing the test, a candidate goes through further filtration processes like GD and PI (in most of the cases). Some institutes offer direct admission via management quota on the basis of academic and entrance exam performance. However they are likely to conduct GD and PI.
