Devoting one full year for JEE exam preparation has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for JEE. most important thing to consider at this stage is that were u able to give your 100% this year. If not u should definitely drop without any second thought. also as mentioned in other answer u should not get hindered away from your goal.for that I advice you to take coaching and a PG near it in any of the main city near your house from where you can visit your home weekly.I also had the same question last year my performance was way below to what I expected. I scored 107 in JEE Mains and couldn't get a rank in JEE Advanced. decided to drop lived in Delhi Punjabi Bagh. came home weekly (every Monday). in the last 2 months I made a separa...more

JEE Mains is a hard nut to crack, but if you have a mindset that you can do it then I am sure no one can stop you from it.
Sometimes, basic questions are asked, which we all ignore during the preparation. After studying, judge yourself. Go through previous years papers. Previous years paper will let you know about the level of questions and how questions are asked.
Try to solve as many problems as you can. During this process, it is possible that you will find some shortcuts also to solve it.
All the best, Harshit.
Study hard and you will achieve your goal. -
If you have already dropped, then there is nothing to fear and nothing to loose. Just focus on your final motto and what you want to get in life. Do not worry much, as the college won't make any difference to your life. What will make is you yourself. Just study properly and with your complete heart and soul. And leave the rest on Destiny.
