am pursuing mbbs in india ,doing clerkmenship in us will help in getting usmle ?if yes then how and wen do i apply for it

i am interested in going to us for pg ,so doing clerkship in us helps in getting into usmle? and how should i apply for clerkship and what are the criteria for it ?i would be glad if i would get the reply from you

    Hi Deepika,American universities do not award or recognize the MBBS.In the US medical studies are only done at the graduate level. Undergraduate students complete BS degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or other science related fields, then take a difficult examination, the MCAT, and apply for admission to Medical schools that require four years of graduate study and award the MD or DO degree. Admission to med school is very competitive - you must have a 3.6 / 4.0 or better average in a series of difficult science courses to be admitted.
