After a gap of 4 years, I completed my PG in 2018 with political science as a private student. Am I eligible for UGC NET?

Yes, you can appear for the UGC NET, if you fulfill the eligibility criteria of the exam. You should have completed post-graduation with minimum 55% aggregate marks (for General) or 50% aggregate marks (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD) from the UGC Approved University. If you want to apply for the JRF NET exam than your age must not exceed 30 years (for General) or 35 years (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Women). For Assistant Professor there is no age criteria, you can apply whenever you want. If you fulfill all that requirements then you are eligible for the NET exam.
