After completing civil engineering, what should I do: join civil services or prepare for GATE? I passed out in 2017 and 23 years old.

GATE is for engineering aspirants. If you want to study further in engineering then go for UPSC CSE.

It totally depends on your interest. If you are interested in technical field then go for GATE or IES but if you want to go in administration then go for UPSC. -

If you are good in technical, then go for GATE. Otherwise, civil services are better option.
