M.Sc. In Biotechnology is a four-semester programme, to enable graduate students to pursue doctoral studies or professional employment, through imparting in-depth knowledge in a specific domain of Biotechnology along with a three-semester independent research project leading to a dissertation. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam): Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (Applied Medical Science or Medical Science and Allied Medical or Agriculture or Nanotechnology or Biosciences or Life Sciences or Food Sciences or Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology or Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology or Public Health and Allied Sciences or Plant Science) or equivalent. The programme has following outcomes: # : Demonstrate research flair for biological systems at the molecular, genetic, cellular and organism levels to propose eco-friendly solutions # : Ability to analyze the genome and proteome using advanced molecular techniques and computational tools to address challenges in Pharma and health sciences. # : Capability to integrate knowledge for estimation and solving biological problems through application of stem cell technology, therapeutic &amp; reproductive cloning # : Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles and apply these to develop projects in multidisciplinary environment.
