Are students who are not doing a job after graduation and doing distance courses creating year gaps? Is there time being wasted?
My friend repeatedly asks me whether doing courses from IGNOU sitting at home without a job could affect his chances in MBA exams? If he gives CAT, would he be a fresher or a guy with an age gap? How are these courses looked upon in those interviews and what's use of them, do they provide jobs?

7 years agoI do not think at all that any education done from an approved place with honesty can be looked down upon. While doing CAT Preparation, it may not be possible to devote full time to a regular course so doing a Distance Course is safeguarding your gap year. Suppose I am a BBA or B.A. And I am preparing for CAT for MBA. I may start doing some PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Comm or Advertising and PR. That won't do any harm, rather I can present that I did not stop studying.
