    No, both GRE and IELTS are not required to work in Canada. The intent of both exams are different. GRE is a standardized test for getting admission to MS or MBA programme abroad. 

    Yes, IELTS is required to work in Canada. IELTS General Training is the correct test type for immigration/work purposes.

    GRE and IELTS are both requirements for any form of study you wish to pursue. However, in case of a proper work opportunity, you would still require IELTS as the English Proficiency test. With the recent changes, the score barrier has gone up and certain people find it difficult to achieve the same. A better alterative would be to enroll in some form of study which would then allow you to scale up to a PR and a job opportunity in Canada.
