Can a student from the NIOS board take admission to Mithibai College for a BMM course?

Dual marksheets may be issued by NIOS to their students leading to confusion when applying for the CUET and subsequently gaining university admission. From an application point of view, CUET accepts valid NIOS marksheets as long as the required information is displayed on one marksheet with all the subjects and grades laid out clearly.

From a university standpoint, universities want to verify the authenticity and consistency of all student records. Therefore, when submitting applications, presenting both dual marksheets together provides a clear way to eliminate any confusion regarding this issue.

With respect to the document verification process, Admissions Advisors want to know that the marksheet submitted is valid and meets eligibility requirements. The submission of the marksheet format is not a factor for consideration. If a student has any discrepancies in their marksheets, it is their responsibility to explain these to the Admissions Advisors during the document verification stage.

Above all else, being transparent with marksheets that reflect qualifications is crucial for alleviating any concerns regarding validity.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) began the registration process for the NIOS 10th, 12th public exam April-May 2026. Students appearing for NIOS board exam 2026 April-May are required to pay the exam fees through the official website, nios.ac.in. Students enrolled in stream 1, block 1 for March/April 2026 exam can pay the exam fee from Nov 21 to Dec 20, 2025 without late fee. They can do the fee payment from 21st December, 2025 to 31st December, 2025 with late fee INR 150 Per subject. With consolidated late fee INR 1600 Per learner, learners enrolled for April/May 2026 can pay from 01 January, 2026 to 10th January, 2026.
