University Grants Commission (UGC) lets students who participate in their Master's degree final year examinations or have finished their Master's degree to sit for the NET exam. A candidate does not need to finish or enroll in PG course education to apply for admissions in the National Eligibility Test (NET). Candidates aiming to participate in the NET exam need to hold a minimum 55% score from their Master's degree or equivalent examinations. The NET exam application fee costs INR 1,100 for applicants from the General category.
