Can I apply for M.Tech admission if my final semester results are pending?

<p>You can still submit an application for M.Tech admission if your final results are not out, but you have to meet certain conditions.<br><br>Most of the times, IITs, NITs and different universities follow these rules:<br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Provisional Admission:</span><br>A dean may decide to admit you on a provisional status using your current marks and expecting you to complete your degree by the time you are admitted or by the set deadline.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Students have to submit their results by the deadline.</span><br>Most institutes require you to send your final semester mark sheet or provisional degree certificate by a particular deadline which is typically August or September.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Certain standards that a student must fulfill require a minimum number of marks.</span><br>Your result sheet must show that you have achieved the minimum aggregate marks set by the authorities once they are published (60% or 6.0 CGPA for general category).<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Documentation at Admission</span><br>A few colleges want you to bring a letter from the college confirming that all requirements are complete and results are being checked.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Example:</span><br>IITs, NITs and Central Universities allow provisional admission if the results have not yet been declared but need the main documents by a set date.<br><br>Similarly, State &amp; Private Colleges come along with varying details, yet usually allow it, mainly when you have considered through GATE or examination.</p>

<p><strong>Most of the colleges do have that provision</strong> where you can apply for &lt;a href="https://www.shiksha.com/m-e-m-tech-admission-chp"&gt;MTech admission&lt;/a&gt; even if your graduation final results are pending, <strong>but the admission provided would be provisional</strong>. The admission application form usually has that option for students with pending results.</p><p>After your exam results are out, you need to present the marksheet as proof of you meeting the eligibility criteria without any backlogs to secure your seat permanently. Rest; you can go to the college websites to confirm if they allow admission with pending result status or not.</p>
