NIT calicut is a government institute so there is a reservation criteria is also here. No matter what u scores in Jee main if u belong to category like SC/ST or ph u will get admission at a very low rank and also there is 50% seat is reserve for home state student as if u given your 12th exam from kerala then 50% reservation is for you mean u will get admission even at 50000 rank for general.
if u are not satisfying any of the above criteria then there is a seat reservation for DASA candidate also for that no need to give the jee main exam.Please check the NITC website for more detail information.
