In my opinion LPU will be the best choice if your JEE Mains rank is 487876. You can apply for scholarship by giving LPU NEST. The placement of LPU is very good. 600+ companies visit the campus every year and almost 90% of the students got placed. Last year a girl placed in Microsoft with a package of 42 LPA. The placement staff of LPU works very hard for bringing the company in the camp. LPU also have tie ups with foreign university that will help student to place in foreign universities. Major admissions in private engineering colleges are based on their own entrance exams conducted by respective Institutes. So your JEE Main rank does not matter here. Percentage obtained in 12th is an another important criteria. Top private institutes like Manipal, LPU, Amity, SRM and VIT etc. Conducts their own entrance exams for admission but due to Covid-19 pandemic, few of them are admitting students on the basis of their 12th marks.
